Day 1: The Authority of the Son
By Rick Rene of Blessed2Teach Ministries (https://blessed2teach.com)
Prayer Guide Day #1
Because I hear God’s word and believe in Jesus, I have eternal life, and I celebrate passing from death to life!
John 5:24: Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life.
Father, I declare myself saved from judgment and death and claim eternal life because of my faith and belief in the risen Christ! In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Context
The context of John 5:24, which discusses passing from death to life, encompasses verses 19-29, which is often summarized as “The Authority of the Son.” In red letter Bibles, this is all in red because Jesus is teaching about himself. He teaches about Jesus’s nature, his role in salvation, and how he will be used to judge both the living and the dead. He starts out making sure everyone knows that while he submitted himself to come to earth as a man, he could do nothing on his own but “only what he sees the Father doing,” and Jesus did what the Father was doing. Jesus actually could see what the Father was doing, and he declared that those would see even greater works and marvel, even the authority to raise the dead, which he later would do with Lazarus and others. He had his inner circle of disciples keep quiet about him raising the little girl from the dead, so this statement had to shock most of those listening. What is even more shocking is he later teaches that we, as the Body of Christ, will do these greater works as well:
John 14:12: Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2014%3A12&version=ESV
He then states that the Father has given Jesus the authority for judgment so that people would honor the Son just like the Father. Not honoring Jesus is like not honoring the Father. This is when he states this popular verse where he starts out saying, “Truly, truly…” to emphasize this truth. The truth is that those who hear Jesus’s words and believe in the Father who sent him will have eternal life; judgment will not come on them, but instead, they will pass from death to life!
What a promise! But Jesus does not stop there. He says, “Truly, truly…” again and discusses that even the dead will hear his voice and live again because, just like the Father, he has “life in himself.”
Wow! This is a clear teaching of the Trinity and of Jesus’s separation but equality with the Father. Jesus is teaching that he and the Father were NEVER created. No, God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is eternal and has always existed! Later, Jesus would reemphasize that he is the “bread of life” and the key to eternal life for us:
John 6:57: As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%206%3A57&version=ESV
Jesus ends this message by telling his listeners not to marvel that even the dead will be raised to be judged, and some “to the resurrection of life” and some “to the resurrection of judgment.” So let us feed on Jesus and understand that he is the resurrection and the life, and nobody comes to the Father except through him!
John 5:19-29:

Devotional
In these 11 verses, Jesus teaches some deep truths and shows he wants us to understand them as he uses the term “Truly, Truly…” three separate times. He starts out describing how he can do nothing without the Father but does what he sees the Father doing:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord,
but only what he sees the Father doing.
For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing.
Jesus likely saw constant open visions from the Father while he was on earth.
Then, Jesus moves to the subject of greater works and how people will even see people being raised from the dead:
And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.
For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life,
so also the Son gives life to whom he will.
Jesus demonstrated this later on several occasions, including the resurrection of Lazarus:
John 11:43-44: When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”

Jesus isn’t returning like last time—this is the Lion, not the Lamb. He’s handing the rod of iron to overcomers who are aligned with heaven’s government. The question is: will you rule with Him—or get shaken with everything that’s about to fall?

Jesus stopped mid-sentence in Isaiah 61—He closed the scroll before reading about vengeance and justice. Why? Because heaven never closed the assignment. The shaking we’re seeing isn’t chaos—it’s the Lion setting the stage for His return.

Prayer Guide Day #2
I will trust in the Lord even when I do not understand and will submit to him in all my ways. Thank you, Lord, for making my paths straight!
Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Lord, I submit and acknowledge all my ways to you, and trust you with all my heart. I will not lean on my understanding, so you can make my path straight. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Context
The context of these popular verses of Proverbs 3:5-6 is the first 12 verses of Proverbs 3. They are often summarized as “Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart.”
The first eight verses emphasize the importance of adhering to divine teachings and trusting in God for a fulfilling life. They encourage steadfast love, faithfulness, and reliance on God’s guidance over personal understanding, promising blessings like peace, favor, and health.
Follow God’s teachings: Keeping commandments in your heart leads to long life and peace.
This often includes teachings from your earthly father and mother as well:
Proverbs 1:8: Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching,
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%201%3A8&version=ESV
Embrace love and faithfulness: Bind these virtues to yourself to gain favor with God and people.
Trust in God fully: Rely on the Lord, not your own wisdom, for straight paths.
Reject self-reliant pride: Fear God, avoid evil, and find healing and refreshment.
Psalm 111:10: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%20111%3A10&version=ESV
The next four verses from Proverbs 3:9-12 highlight two key principles for a faithful life: honoring God with one’s material resources and humbly accepting His discipline as a sign of His love. These teachings encourage trust in God’s provision and guidance, framing both generosity and correction as pathways to spiritual and material abundance.
Honoring God with Wealth: By dedicating the first and best portion of one’s wealth and produce to God, a person demonstrates trust and gratitude, prioritizing Him above personal gain. This act of faith is promised to result in overflowing blessings, with barns filled to the brim with plenty and vats overflowing with wine, symbolizing both material prosperity and divine favor.
Luke 6:38: Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%206%3A38&version=ESV
Embracing God’s Discipline: The verses counsel against despising or growing weary of God’s reproof, as it is an expression of His love, akin to a father’s correction of a cherished son. God’s discipline is meant to guide and refine, fostering growth and alignment with His will, and should be received with humility and openness.
What great advice this part of Proverbs 3 gives us:
Follow God’s teachings
Embrace love and faithfulness
Trust in God fully
Reject self-reliant pride
Honoring God with Wealth
Embracing God’s Discipline
This entire 7-day study guide is about “Faith and Trust in God” and this section of scripture clarifies how we can do just that. His promises are great if we can truly trust in him with ALL our heart. So let’s trust in him with everything and lean not on our own understanding!
Proverbs 3:1-12:
Read the full context of God’s word here:
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%203%3A1-12&version=ESV
Devotional
These twelve verses are powerful truths and they begin in making sure that we understand the word of God and its teachings:
My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
Obedience is key and it comes with great rewards:
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you.
Not only is there a promise of a long life and peace, but also a life without dread or disaster as discussed in Proverbs 1:
Proverbs 1:33: “…but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%201%3A33&version=ESV
However, it is not all about obedience. Love and faith are also foundational:
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
If you dedicate yourself to love and faithfulness, God delivers even more promises:
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man.
Even though we are not of this world, God will give us favor and success, not only in His eyes but in the sight of man. However, this takes trust in him over our understanding in the flesh:

Rick starts with Prayer and then brings on Donne…
Opening prayer and introduction to the show
Rick offered an opening prayer, submitting the show and ministry to God. He then introduced the Blessed Teach show, mentioning that Donne Clement-Fertusca would be joining as a guest.
He also mentioned they would be discussing a 'Trump-Elon fight' and later moving to praise and prayer on the new Word and Worship channel.
Donne's insights on the Elon Musk and Trump conflict
Donne Clement-Fertusca shared her thoughts on the conflict between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. She wasn't surprised by their disagreement, noting that both have strong personalities and are used to getting their way.
She had previously told Clay Clark that their relationship wouldn't last. Donne expressed concerns about large bills rather than compartmentalized, smaller bills that could be voted on separately.
Discussion of Kim Clement's prophecies about Putin and Ukraine
Donne discussed prophecies from her father, Kim Clement, particularly regarding Putin and Ukraine. She mentioned that her father had prophesied about Putin and a 'spider web' (Operation Spider Web), as well as about Ukraine being perceived as troublemakers.
She explained that her father saw Putin would be 'released like a junkyard dog and bite viciously' and that his alliance with Iran would be dangerous for Israel and the West.
Analysis of current events in relation to prophecies
Donne analyzed current events in light of her father's prophecies. She discussed the possibility that the Elon-Trump conflict could be genuine or potentially staged.
She emphasized the importance of praying for President Trump as the leader and referenced specific prophecies about Trump building 'walls of protection' around the nation, improving the economy, and making agreements with nations like China.
Discussion about a prophesied hidden weapon
Donne shared about a weapon her father saw in prophecies from 2012, connected to the conflict between Pakistan and India, with ties to terrorism and Russia.
She described it as having a 'yellow mustard color' and being hidden or disregarded by intelligence.
She mentioned trying to connect with Brandon Biggs, another prophet who has seen similar visions about a hidden weapon that isn't nuclear but creates a mushroom cloud.
The role of prophecy in preventing threats
Donne explained how her father worked with a group connected to the FBI after 9/11 to use Christian prophets to help prevent terrorist attacks, as an alternative to the CIA's Project Stargate, which used occult methods.
She described how her father would receive limited information, pray about it, and share what God showed him, which helped stop terrorist attacks and find missing children.
Discussion about Elon Musk and spiritual conversion
Donne expressed her hope for Elon Musk to find God and get saved. She explained that someone like Musk couldn't be reached through conventional witnessing since he was educated in Christian and Jewish schools and already knows what's in the Bible.
She suggested that he would need a special encounter with God, similar to the Damascus Road conversion her father had prophesied would happen in the Middle East.
South Africa's history and current challenges
Donne, being South African, explained the history of Dutch settlers (Afrikaans) in South Africa, who have been there for over 400 years, settling at the same time as the Zulu tribe.
She clarified that the Dutch settlers didn't colonize and take land from the natives as is often portrayed. She emphasized that the current problem in South Africa is communism rather than race, with the ruling ANC party having communist roots.
Global concerns about communism and Islam
Donne discussed her concerns about the 'marrying of communism with Islam' globally, mentioning Russia, China, Iran, and Afghanistan. She referenced her father's prophecies about Putin's dangerous alliance with Iran and the Islamic invasion in Europe.
She mentioned her father prophesied about a 'Fourth Reich' from Paris in 2010, saying France would overcome Muslim invasion as they did in the seventh century.
Christianity as a solution to global conflicts
Donne emphasized Christianity as the solution to global conflicts, sharing an example of a couple (one formerly Muslim, the other formerly Jewish) who converted to Christianity and married, stating that it was the only way there could be peace between them.
She stressed that her father prophesied that Christ's name would overcome both Islamic invasion and communism.
Discussion about Israel and misconceptions
Rick and Donne discussed misconceptions about Israel, with Donne noting that as a Christian, she can safely visit Israel but not Muslim countries. She emphasized judging by 'fruit' and avoiding generalizations about entire populations. She addressed the Hamas-Israel conflict, stating that if Hamas laid down weapons, Israel would stop, but if Israel laid down
